Your account is yours. You can delete it whenever you want — from inside the app, without emailing anyone and without waiting for approval.
1. The fastest way — inside the app
- Open the Dalni app and sign in.
- Go to the “My Account” tab → “Account Information”.
- Tap “Delete Account” at the bottom, then “Confirm Deletion”.
Deletion happens immediately and cannot be undone.
2. If you cannot sign in
Email us from the address or phone number registered on your account to info@dalni.com.qa with the subject “Account deletion request”. We verify your identity and complete the request within 30 days at most, and tell you when it is done.
3. What is deleted — and what stays
We separate these because the difference matters to you, and because what is yours alone is not the same as what someone else depends on:
🗑️ Permanently deleted
- Your profile and everything under it: wishlist, wallet and loyalty points, devices, alerts, and recommendations.
- Your cart and any saved carts.
- Your notifications and the push tokens on your devices.
- Your merchant application if it is still pending, and your subscription interest record.
- The link between your phone number and your account.
- The sign-in account itself — nothing is left to sign in with.
⏸️ Suspended, not deleted
- Your listings, if you are a seller: they stop being sold immediately and are shown to nobody. They are not deleted because an invoice belonging to a buyer who bought from you yesterday points at them — deleting them would empty another person’s record.
📋 Kept — and we say so plainly
- Orders, invoices and the messages attached to a completed deal. These records have a second party, and we are required to retain them for accounting and tax records under Qatari law.
4. Retention
What is deleted is removed from our live databases immediately. We keep no scheduled backups — our database lets us restore an earlier state for 7 days, after which no trace of the deleted data remains. Accounting records are kept for the period Qatari law requires.
